Starting as a family owned business in 1940, the Nelson Paint Company is still a family-owned business today. It currently employs three generations of family.
Headquartered in Kingsford, MI, the Nelson Paint Company has come to establish locations across the country and in Canada to serve it's international clientele. Starting manufacturing in, Montgomery, AL in 1958 to serve the deep south and southeastern coast. Another soon followed in McMinnville, OR in 1960 to service the western US, and most recently a plant was started in Ontario, Canada in 1987.
The Nelson Paint Company has continued to branch out in both geographical and technological areas. It is our continuing research and development of forestry paints and equipment that push Nelson Paint to the forefront of the industry while our stringent quality control standards ensure we stay there.
